The Pool, The Beach, and Moo Moo Ice Cream

Hi, family!

Did you hear my mom & dad took me to Clearwater Beach, Florida, last week for a vacation?  It was SO fun.  Let me tell you about it.

First of all, it’s really beautiful there!  My mom kept telling me how much she loves the palm trees & the sun setting over the ocean.

But I thought the best part was the playground on the beach.

You know what?  Maybe my favorite part was Coneheads–this place that sells Moo Moo ice cream.  I call it Moo Moo because Blue Bell has cows on it.  It’s my mom’s favorite ice cream, & we can’t get it in NYC.

No.  Wait, the beach was my favorite part of our vacation!

OK, never mind.  I just remembered–the POOL was DEFINITELY my favorite part of our vacation!

When we were on our way to the airport to head back to NYC, I told my mom, “We have to go back there, Mommy!”  But I hope next time some of our family & friends will join us!

Happy Easter, Everyone!

Hi, Family!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter today!  Today, on Easter, I wanted to share some pictures of the awesome time I had with my cousin Cal, Aunt Cookie, & Uncle Egg, when they came & visited me in NYC!

One of the first things we always do when Cal’s in town is head to FAO Schwartz.

There was so much I wanted to buy–my head was spinning!

Like these stuffed animals . . . Cal & I love all the stuffed animals.

It had been a pretty busy morning, so I think I could have taken a nap right there.

But we didn’t have time for a nap–we were heading to the Central Park Zoo!

In front of these weird hissing roaches–eww!

I maybe like the penguins the most. Aunt Cookie dug them, too.

Although the sea lions are very cool, too! They swim around really fast & sometimes lay on a rock in the sun.

I had so much fun at FAO & the zoo, I did not want the day to end.  Luckily, Cal was coming to sleep over at my house, so the day didn’t end there!

We got to watch a movie & eat popcorn.

We played with Play Doh, & Cal grew a mustache suddenly.

I figured I could grow a mustache, too, but mine was turquoise.

We also played musical chairs.

And ran a race . . .

GO!!!

We even played Freeze Dance.

Seriously. Cal can crack me up like nobody can.

The next day we all headed to the NY Hall of Science Museum, one of my favorite places in the city.  I couldn’t wait to show it off to Cal.

We all tried to make giant bubbles . . .

Checked out the skateboarding exhibit . . .

And basically played and learned all day long. Although when my mom says things like this I usually correct her by saying, “I just want to play.”

Wow.  It was such an awesome week with my family.  I hope we get to do it again soon!

Phew!  OK, now for some quick Easter pics.  It’s past my bedtime.

I was so happy to see my friends Isobel & Clara at the Sculpture Park.

They had this cool sculpture we could all run around in.

I didn’t get any eggs, but luckily I found this awesome rock!

You won’t believe what was waiting for me when I got up this morning:

The Easter Bunny came!!!

I got a baby doll, who’s a boy, just like my baby brother.

And a whole bunch of “guys” I can play pretend with.

It was a really amazing Easter weekend.

Jack’s Got a Brand-New Bed!

Hey family,

Today I got a brand-new bed!  It’s pretty gigantic.  I’m only showing off a couple pictures, because my mom is still in the process of re-decorating, &, well, there are just not near enough cars yet.

When we first got my new bed all set up, first thing I had to do a big belly flop on it.

I liked it right away!

My mom has this thing where sometimes I leave a room & when I come back, KitKat is hanging out there in some odd place.

So after my bath, guess who was hanging out in my new bed!

It totally cracks me up!

I figured, if the bed is good enough for KitKat, it’s good enough for me.

Happy Valentime’s Day!

Hi, everybody!  Happy Valentime’s Day!  For about two weeks, I have been trying to convince my mom that “Today is Valentime’s Day!” everyday.  So I’m really excited that today actually IS Valentime’s Day.

It’s been awhile since my mom’s dressed me up & taken a ton of pictures, so I should have known that was what she was up to this morning.

I wasn’t feeling so cooperative at first.

This is my thoughtful Valentime picture.

My dad came by & I gave a little smile.

Then I got my Valentime’s gifts!!

I’ve been hoping for a pair of shades.

Here’s a picture of me with a special Valentime I made at school.

I’m pretty excited to have a new little Valentime in my life this coming June . . .

Christmas, Redux

Hi Family,

Most of you know that I am one of the luckiest kids alive, because I actually get to have about three Christmases.  You already saw one of them; now you get to see the other!

First, the Collins Christmas party:

I couldn’t believe there was a copy of Santa’s list right outside my Gran’s house.

Phew! Luckily I was on it!!!

I just loved this train!

It was so fun opening presents.

Once I got some cars, I was pretty much done opening presents. What more could I want?

I thought it was pretty cool that my cousin Kerrigan likes to play with cars, too.

Unfortunately, the snow(!) meant that the party went WAY too fast.

Luckily we were able to get this family photo (minus, my dad, the photographer).

Next, we had the Wensel Christmas party!

My aunt Cookie has such a pretty tree.

My cousin Cal & I got to do some dancing, & we listened to & played a lot of music.

Again, when opening presents, once I get a car, I’m pretty much done.

Cal got a lot of cool presents.

It was pretty neat getting to see a real life snowman.

And Aunt Cookie has this awesome inflated thingy with a Santa Claus inside.

It was so wonderful spending the holidays with my amazing family!!!  Happy New Year!!!

Santa Claus came!

Whoa, apparently, I’m so busy my mom’s going to make me wait til Spring Break to tell you about Santa Claus!

I was so lucky to have Santa Claus come visit me on Christmas Eve Eve, which meant, while every other kid was waiting waiting waiting on Christmas Eve, I was already playing with my Christmas presents!

First I got to see what was in my stocking.

Wow, Santa really knows what I like!

There were a bunch of other awesome things, like books & a new water bottle.

Next my mom made me stand in front of the tree to get a picture of me. I just wanted to open presents!!

Finally I got to go at it!

Yay, LOL Elmo!!!

Elmo helped me open the rest of my presents.

Yay! Santa left me different cars, just like I asked!

And a cool car puzzle book!

 

I also got this cool track & ramp for my Hot Wheels.

I was so excited when I saw the box I ran a couple victory laps around the dining room table.  (Sorry, no pictures here, way too blurry.)

I could hardly wait to play with it!

I am so lucky to have had such an awesome Christmas.  I am really blessed!

Ho ho ho! Merry Nistmas!

Hi, Family!

Are you as excited about Santa Claus as I am??  Whenever anybody asks what I want Santa to bring me, I just say “Different cars.”  I think that’s pretty clear, don’t you?

Last week we did our annual pilgrimage to Santaland at Macy’s.

I was feeling a little overwhelmed when we first got there.

I loosened up a little once we got to the giant train.

I was feeling pretty excited about talking to Santa Claus.

Plus I couldn’t get enough of all the cool cars and trains driving around in Santaland.

I wasn’t worried at all about which list I was on.

I was so nervous when I was next in line & I could see the Big Guy.

Turns out, Santa is pretty nice and not that intimidating!
