It’s Jack & Charlie’s mom, hijacking their blog. I just had to share some stories about my two crazy little characters.
Earlier this week, Jack kept telling me he wanted to go on an adventure, so we got bundled up, put Charlie in the front of the double stroller, & started walking. After a couple blocks, I noticed Charlie had taken off one of his shoes & thrown it overboard. I could see it was less than a block away. So I turned to Jack, “Oh, Spider-Man! My baby lost his shoe! Please help me!!” Jack sprang into action. He took off running, humming the music you hear when the superhero is saving the day. He ran down the sidewalk, grabbed the shoe, & ran back, presenting the shoe triumphantly. I said, “Oh, thank you!! You saved the day!! You’re my hero!” Jack put his hand on his heart, gave a slight bow, & said modestly, “It was my pleasure.” :)
Yesterday, Jack & Charlie were in the living room, & Jack kept blowing raspberries at Charlie. After a few times, I wiped the spittle off, & said, “Jack, that’s not nice, please stop.” But someone interrupted me. It was Charlie, with a bunch of long, incredibly slobbery raspberries directed cheerfully at Jack. :
Can’t wait to bring these big boys to Texas to see everyone soon!!
Jack & Charlie’s Mom
We had a lot of fun yesterday on St. Patrick’s Day. We went to the Kids Playhouse to play, decked out in green, of course.
We had a super fun time this weekend, too. We had an amazing lunch in Little Italy in the Bronx, & went to the Bronx zoo.
After the zoo, we got some ice cream at Mr. Softee, & Charlie kept trying to steal my ice cream cone!
Charlie & I have a great time together. Now he’s big enough to really play with!
I can’t believe Charlie is 9 months old already!!
This weekend my family & I went to the Museum of the Moving Image. It’s an awesome place to learn about the history of TV & film, & see a lot of the work that goes on behind the scenes, like costuming, mask-making, creating animation, & sound editing. They also had a lot of video games on display, that you could actually play!
We had a really great time, & I learned a lot. My mom & dad explain stuff to me, & I like to ask a lot of questions, to make sure I understand.
Did you know Charlie turns 8 months old today? Can you believe it??
I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day!
Can you believe Charlie turned 7 months old already? Seems just like yesterday I was doing his 6 month blog post ….
Last week I got to bring home a very special friend for the weekend. His name is Bear, & he spends his weekends at my classmates’ homes. It was my turn this week!
We took Bear with us to the American Museum of Natural History.
That last one I’m imitating the expression that the dinosaur behind me has.:)
We had so much fun at lunch; I love to make my brother laugh.
And afterwards we went to Magnolia Bakery for a cupcake!
This weekend Charlie started pulling himself up to stand & scooting!
We had an awesome weekend; hope you did too!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. We sure did!
It was fantastic spending Thanksgiving in Texas with my whole family.
When we got back, Charlie turned 6 months old!
Before we knew it, it was Christmastime! We made our annual pilgrimage to Santaland to see Santa Claus.
Here is our most recent Santa photo, & then take a look at the previous years, too. :)
We had a nice, quiet Christmas Eve & Day together as a family.
Happy New Year!
Hey Family! Did you hear I will be bringing my whole family to Texas for Thanksgiving??? I am so excited!
I want to tell you about my brother Charlie. He is my best friend. I tell him everyday, “Good morning, Sunshine!” & “You’re my best friend, Charlie” & “I love you soooo much, Charlie!”
It is getting really cold here, & I am getting super excited about the holidays!
Can you believe that Charlie is 5 months old already? He is getting so big. He is trying so hard to sit up & roll over & he just wants to be a part of the action all the time. He also grins & laughs ALL THE TIME. Especially when I am getting into trouble. I kind of love it, because my little brother eggs me on when I’m acting kinda crazy.
We went out for dinner this week & I got to have an ice cream sundae! Before I ate it, I did this whole hilarious ritual that my mom took pictures of. I rubbed my hands together, pumped my arms in the air, & acted like I would eat the sundae in one giant bite.
Can’t wait to see y’all next week!
Everyone likes to call me “busy” & I really have been recently! I’m in school & my mom & dad say I’m doing really well. I have made a bunch of friends, & sometimes I tell my mom I might like to stay at school all day, instead of just the morning.
Did you know that last month we went apple picking? We went to Fishkill Farms & they have the most delicious apples, plus a band was playing music so we got to dance. It was so nice having a picnic & looking at the beautiful view.
My dad held me up so I could pick apples from the top of the tree. That’s where the prettiest, sweetest apples are.
I couldn’t wait; I had to take a bite as soon as I picked my first apple.
My mom of course had to do a whole photo shoot with me sitting in a tree with an apple. So I humored her.
We had to wait before our picnic, so Mom got Charlie in on the photo shoot. It’s really hard to get a non-blurry, both children smiling picture of us right now, my mom says. I think we look kinda cute, though.
Don’t be too jealous, but this was our view during our picnic.
Afterwards I got to run down to this giant haystack to play. My dad carried me AND Charlie back up the hill. He’s a Super Dad.
Man, I had so much fun in Texas last month. It was really cool seeing my awesome family, & showing off my little brother.
So sorry for the truncated post, but baby brother just woke up, so gotta go!
